Description
The Tear Drop handle is an elegant design inspired by the 19th century ironmongery and ideally suited for heritage style casement windows for use with an espagnolette window lock.
Specification
- White & Black finishes are a smooth polyester powder coat (PPC) cast aluminium.
- Gold, Chrome, Brushed Satin, Dark Bronze & Antique finishes are HARDEX® coated cast zinc.
- Strength tested to equivalent of a modern espagnolette window handle
- Manufactured from die-cast zinc with specially formulated finish - Harder wearing finish than traditional wrought iron furniture
- Key locking - Security Enabled via an Allen Key
- Supplied with croppable 40mm spindle which allows cropping to 5mm increments
- Matching Teardrop Dummy Peg Stay also available to create a matching heritage window (sold separately)
- Corrosion resistance - Meets the requirements of BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 (480 hours)

Maintenance
For continued protection of the quality finish and appearance, we recommend routine cleaning of all our external hardware. Moving parts should also be lightly lubricated at least twice a year. This procedure is particularly essential if products are used within a 25-mile radius of coastal areas or close proximity to building sites or large industrial areas, where more frequent cleaning may be required to prevent the accumulation of corrosive contaminants.
